GONG Mobile Video Service Wins International ITV Award Waterloo, Canada – October 8th, 2009 - The GONG Anime mobile video service, built on Metranome’s platform, has won an International ITV award in the “Mobile Interactive Applications” category. The awards ceremony took place on October 6th at the Palm Beach Casino in Cannes, France during MIPCOM. GONG Anime is a cutting-edge new media network that delivers top anime content internationally over web, cable and mobile. GONG’s mobile service is delivered through an application available on the Apple iPhone and iPod touch that was designed and built by Metranome. The service, available in French and English in over 20 countries, delivers a mixture of free and premium anime content. Anime fans are able to watch episode clips, trailers, reviews and more at no cost. They may also purchase full anime series using Metranome’s innovative mobile video-on-demand technology. Content purchases are downloaded directly to the customer’s device, where they may be viewed in high resolution at any time, even when out of wireless coverage.
